Cool “Read Now” Books on Netgalley!

Hey readers!

If you are new to Netgalley, or if you are an international blogger and haven’t been approved for books for a while because a lot of books are just not possible for us to Request, but only Wish For but would still like to read some good books, I have a few suggestions! I haven’t read all of those yet, but I have them on my Shelf and have researched a lot on those books’ blurb.

Herding Cats Sarah AndersenHerding Cats by Sarah Andersen is a cute book full of comics that are so relatable!! Sarah’s work is very cool, cute and honest about adulting, making friends as an adult, being introverted, etc…

The Bone Curse Carrie Rubin

The Bone Curse by Carrie Rubin is a book I was attracted by because of the cover, to be honest. This is a dark thriller with some horror telling the story of Ben, who gets cut by an ancient bone and it causes a crisis as people start getting sick – and it seems that it’s because the bone is cursed. I haven’t read the book yet, but it sounds awesome and so far the ratings on Goodreads are awesome! Also has nothing to do with The Bone Witch, which was my first thought when I saw the title and the cover.

Seraphina, by Rachel Hartman has its first chapter as Read Now, and I fell in love with the book by reading that! I currently own the book and hopefully will read it soon! It’s got dragons, great writing and I’m so stoked to read it!!

The witch doesn’t burn in this one by Amanda Lovelace is a poetry collection, sequence to The Princess Saves Herself in This One, and it’s very good!! I read it and it was so empowering, a mixture of witch, fire and the daily struggles of being a woman. I loved it.

Rewired S R Johannes

ReWired by S. R. Johannes is a tech-thriller that sounds so fantastic! I have it on my shelves and have yet to get to it, but it tells the story of Ada Lovelace, who is a hacker involved in high-profile hacking works, but in read life she’s healing from her friend’s suicide. She is betrayed by one of the other hackers and, to protect her family, she is sent to ReBoot, a camp for rehabilitating teens… which is where her friend killed herself. I’M SOLD.

Helium by Rudy Francisco is a poetry collection about love, self-reflection, class, race, gender and more, telling of Rudy’s experiences throughout the world. This sounds very emotional a read, and I’ve been into modern poetry lately!

She Be Damned by M. J. Tjia is a book I have read and reviewed here. I didn’t personally love the book a lot, but if you like Victorian settings, female detectives and sassiness, you may actually enjoy it! It’s actually a well-loved book in Goodreads.

The Light in the Labyrinth by Wendy J Dunn sounds like such a curious story, I am so intrigued by it! A girl named Kate runs from her family to be with her aunt Anne Boleyn (THE Anne Boleyn) to have a better life. BUT!! You know!! History happens!! This is a historical fiction YA that I simply must get my hands on.

Watch Me, Jody Gehrman is a dark psychological thriller, so of course I’m reading it!! I don’t remember much of the plot anymore, but I’ve heard great things about this book!

The Mitford Murders Jessica Fellowes

The Mitford Murders by Jessica Fellowes is a book I had seen at my local bookstore and have been struggling with whether I wanted to buy it or not, but then I saw it as Read Now on Netgalley! This is a story about the sisters who live at Mitford, and it’s a historical fiction with lots of mystery. From what I saw it’s not exactly a murder mystery, but it’s similar to one, more a historical fiction than a crime one.
