#notall Cover Changes – A cover change you liked

I read See What I Have Done last year as an eARC, which had this bird cover at the time. While eerie and simple, I very much liked the final cover with the pear a lot more! It’s still simple, but much more eerie and I also think it’s more relevant to the story!

I don’t normally read children’s books very often, but I love reading them to have fun and just have a good time. And did this book deliver!

Scheele’s Green Ghosts is the first installment in The Lundenwich Society series, a middle grade story about a group of children who have a gift to sense or see the supernatural and help solve mysteries in order to give peace to ghosts and help them move on.

I picked up The Immortalists thinking it would be a magical realism story which focused on the magical side, especially since it’s classified as fantasy on Goodreads. But really, it’s focused a lot more on the realism side, with small hints of magic here and there, and a gorgeous family epic at its core.

I literally gave squeak when I was accepted for this book! I love steampunk and I had read the series that precedes this one (The Fall of the Gas-Lit Empire, review to come!) and loved it so much! This author doesn’t get enough love in my opinion!

Happy New Year! + Books Published in 2018 I Look Forward To

Hello bookworms!

Welcome to 2018!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful time. Do you have traditions for this time of the year? Here in Brazil it’s Summer, so a lot of people spend the turn of the year at the beach, watching fireworks and partying. Also, we eat lentils for luck, as well as 12 grapes, one for each month of the upcoming year. I particularly spend it with my family, but younger people will sometimes spend it among friends… it’s quite common in Germany to do that!

So, to the books that come out this year (that I know of) and I look forward to!
