#EasterReadathon by Kate @ Reading Through Infinity

Hello readers!! So this weekend Kate @ Reading Through Infinity held a Readathon! As I love Readathons, of course I was in! Hehehe

I hadn’t participated in a Readathon with other bloggers before, I normally do it only with my boyfriend or by myself. This was quite fun! Interacting with people as the Readathon went on was so nice! I was updating on Twitter throughout the prolonged weekend, but I will summarize here how it went. Here are the books I planned to read:

On the last Sunday Snuggle I actually talked a bit about the books I finished until Sunday afternoon (the Readathon ended up going on until Monday), if you want to see my opinions on those. The other stuff I read I will talk about on the next Sunday Snuggle!

I started with Shadowsong, which I had 75% finished already. I am IN LOVE with the Wintersong duology, so I flew through this book as I was having my morning coffee. The bedsheet is from IKEA if you want to know! (hahaha) In any case, I gave this book 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It’s a great read, very beautifully written and it’s so German, I love it.

Yes, I took a picture of my kitchen full of dirty dishes. No, I have no shame. Well, a little. I have The Diviners as an Audiobook, and I don’t quite remember how much I had left to listen when the Readathon started. But the whole narration was 18h long, so I knew it would be a little challenging to finish it. By Sunday I was done with the Audiobook and immediatelly got volume 2 hehehe. It’s just such a good series!! 5 stars!  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Saturday & Sunday was my anniversary with my boyfriend (5 years!! We can’t believe it either) (the story of why we have 2 days of anniversary is too long, maybe I’ll tell another time!), so I didn’t read a lot. We went to laser tag, stuffed ourselves in an Asian food buffet and by the time we got home I was too tired to read. So I was rather unproductive, but on Easter Sunday I finished The Diviners and resumed reading Unseemly Science, which is a GREAT steampunk that deserves more love! Also 5 stars!  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After reading 3 books in a row that were unquestionable 5 stars for me, I started A Wrinkle in Time. I didn’t know much about the story, only that it was a 5-book series and with the movie coming up, I wanted to read this before deciding if I’ll watch it or not! Unfortunately it was not my kind of book, and I ended up giving it 2 stars. ⭐️⭐️ I’ll review it at some point and explain myself!

And with that I read everything I had set to read for the Readathon!

In the end, I started listening to the Audiobook of The Chalk Man, but it was late and I wasn’t so concentrated anymore and didn’t listen to more than 20min of it.

It was a great experience in the end, and I think I’ll join more bloggers’ Readathons! This was fun and I got lots of reading done in the end. Thank you, Kate, for organizing it and interacting with us!

    • There are always some Readathons going on, I’m sure there will be another soon that you can participate! 🙂

Oh, it was 4 days long, not just one! That’s why I got lots of reading done.
