My Readings This Week

china rich girlfriend kevin kwan

China Rich Girlfriend is the second book of the Crazy Rich Asians series, and it’s very entertaining!! I wish Astrid would just get together with Charlie… I hope it happens! I’m about halfway through.

the seven deaths of evelyn hardcastle stuart turton

Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle might just be one of the best mystery books I’ve ever read. I loved it so much and recommend it highly!! THE TWISTS!!

furyborn claire legrand

I started also Furyborn, which has been SO hyped I was a bit afraid I wouldn’t like it. I’m still in the very beginning of the book, but so far I’m really enjoying it!!

As mentioned, I’ve read the whole series this long weekend (it was a holiday here in South Germany) and, although I have a full post about it coming up this week, to sum up: I really enjoyed this series, it’s just not one of my favorites ever, but I love the characters and the plot and how deliciously magical it is!

  1. I actually finished 2 books this week. I read Still Me and Mean Girls. I really enjoyed Still Me. I think it’s my favorite one in the series. Mean Girls was a straight up copy of the movie. I have been hearing amazing things about Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I have an e-arc for it. So I am very excited to get to it closer to it’s release date.

  2. I was initially interested in Furyborn, but then I heard it was really explicit so I took it off my TBR list. And now it seems like it has a bunch of polarizing reviews–you love it or you hate it. So I’m going to continue to hold off for now. My coblogger didn’t seem enthusiastic and we have similar tastes, generally.

    • I didn’t know it was explicit – so far it’s quite a good, fast-paced beginning, but sure it could change quickly. I didn’t read too many reviews… the ones I read were positive. Let’s see! I’m crossing my fingers, then!
