So I read A Wrinkle in Time, which I wanted to do for a while now! This is such a beloved classic in children’s sci-fi and fantasy literature, I was very excited to read it and bought it in one of my trips to Brazil as a hardcover.
Synopsis: Meg’s father had been experimenting with this fifth dimension of time travel when he mysteriously disappeared. Now the time has come for Meg, her friend Calvin, and Charles Wallace to rescue him. But can they outwit the forces of evil they will encounter on their heart-stopping journey through space?

I am back from vacation!! It was so much fun!! I read a little, rested and got four shades darker. But now I am back, refreshed and very glad to be back to blogging. I really missed it! 🙂 I talked a little about it on Friday’s post – Game of Thrones Walking Tour + Escape Room in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Books I bought during my trip:
Goddess of Spring and A Touch of Crimson were just 15 kuna (a little over 2 euros), so I just had to get them, although they were not on my TBR.
Books I’d gotten before the trip:
As you may know, I was on vacation for the last two weeks of April, and we went to Croatia, a country that I have been dreaming of going to for many years. I wanted to see the beautiful, epic natural landscapes (and the food… I’m a big seafood and fish fan) for a long time and this year I finally got to see a bit of the country!
As this is not a travel blog, I will not go into detail about the trip itself, but if you are a Game of Thrones fan, then you probably know that Dubrovnik was the landscape of King’s Landing and some other places too! I have watched only once the series and haven’t read the books yet (I’m waiting for all of them to be out… I know I’ll be waiting a while).
Disclaimers: I do not receive money or any other means of compensation for writing this post. I payed for the experiences myself, really enjoyed them, and thought it’d be nice to blog about them. Most of the pictures I took myself, and where I have gotten the pictures elsewhere, I have noted right below it. My pictures are touched only where I have blurred people’s faces to preserve their (and my) privacy.

I have received this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
The Last Thing I Saw is a thriller that does keep you reading! I read this in one day during a long, long trip and it kept me both wide awake and entertained!
This is the story of Emma, who wakes up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there or what happened the day before. She soon realizes it’s a mental institution, and that her husband and son refuse to visit her. As she tries to put the pieces together, she also cannot forget the last thing she saw the day everything changed: a pair of black, cold eyes. Continue reading
