Hello readers!
I’m getting super excited already for Halloween. My boyfriend and I will be hosting a small party at our place (Clio’s Boardgames will be there!) and play boardgames and have pizza and wear costumes. I decided this year to go as a witch, but I can’t decide if I go as a cute-goth witch or as an “old hag” witch. The second takes lots more effort to do the makeup, and I’m not sure I’ll have that much time (since I’m doing some other people’s makeup too), but it sounds so much fun!! What do you guys think?
I listened to Book Riot’s Get Booked and also SFF Yeah! podcasts! I hadn’t listened to podcasts forever, so that was nice! 🙂
I wrote a list of cheap books on Twitter this Thursday, so I’m sure most of these are still cheap today, in case you wanna get new books but not pay much money:
I’m trying now to work on my Netgalley ratio (it’s at 62% omg), so I will be focusing for the next weeks on the NG books I downloaded already! A few of them will also be on my Spooky October TBR, which I am so excited for!! Because of that, I’m not getting any new books for now, except for the stuff on Scribd, which I have signed up for until 17.09 anyway.
But I did buy a few ebooks, because they were free on Amazon (click on the covers to go to the Amazon page):
And I also got Crooked Kingdom, because I want to finish the duology this Fall!

My Readings This Week
I picked up The Psychology of Time Travel, which I got through Netgalley! This is a fast-paced story about four women who invent a time machine. There’s lots of mystery, a crime, a bit of romance and I’m not done with it yet but I think it’ll be a 5 star book!
I got To The Lighthouse as an audiobook via Scribd. I’m not sure this was the best idea ever, as I normally like to read classics as physical books instead of listen to them, but I think it worked quite well. I love Virginia Woolf and will for sure read this sometime in the future as a physical book. 4 stars!
I read about a forth of Deathless via audiobook and so far I’m not very into the story… I’ll continue reading it (I think it’s going to get very magical and cool now), but what did you guys think of this book? It came so highly recommended by many bloggers, I hope I don’t end up DNF-ing it.
Talking about DNF-ing… this week I DNF-ed:
I knowww, I’ve been DNF-ing like crazy lately. I guess I’ve been having less patience these days, so if a book takes too long to hold my attention, I ruthlessly set it aside. Maybe I’ll pick some of those up again, who knows? And Station Eleven had been highly recommended by lots of bloggers whose opinion I trust, but it happens from time to time that our tastes don’t match up. I think Station Eleven is a book best appreciated in written form, so I might try it that way in the future.
Very much looking forward to the Halloween party! Still wondering about my costume. Vampire?

I’m really down for any board game, but we recently started getting into this new one called Betrayal (on the House on the Hill). It’s a really intriguing one that is literally a brand new game each time you play it.

Oh yay!! We’ve been considering that boardgame for a while, it sounds like lots of fun!! We will probably be playing Eldridge Horror, which is one of my favorites 😍
