Hello readers!
This was a very heavy-reading week – I normally start counting from the moment a Sunday Snuggle gets post what I count for the next one – and as that happens Sunday early evening, I normally get another few hundred pages in. It’s also normally when I start new books – in this case I started and finished Once Ghosted, Twice Shy, and also got Exit West done.
From Audible, I got:
Interesting Reads Around the Web
Flipping Through Pages – Ten YA Books on my TBR with Fat Girl on Cover
Literary Titan Book Awards February 2019
Vicky who Reads – Fantasci Book Recs: Books In Between Science Fiction and Fantasy!
Once Upon a Spine – Wanderlusting: Bookstores Around the World (Part 1)
howling libraries – Best of 2018: ROMANCE!

My Readings This Last Week
I read Exit West this week, which is great because I had it on my TBR for a while now! I picked this up after seeing it on Barack Obama’s list of recommended (or just read?) books of 2017. The story was intense and had everything to be a heartbreaking read. And indeed, sometimes it was. But the writing style made it difficult for me to relate and get emotionally invested,so I ended up giving this 3 stars.
I read Once Ghosted, Twice Shy, a novella from the Reluctanct Royals world which was so delightful to read. They’re both so sweet and I loved seeing more of Likotsi. 4 stars to this novella!
I finished Daughter of the Burning City – I did not love this book, but I did enjoy reading it very much. I considered giving it 4 stars, but although I liked the world very much, it felt a bit too generic for me, so I ended up giving it 3 stars!
I started Middlegame, which is so dark and a fantasy plus sci-fi world, which is really cool.
I got Lying in Wait as an audiobook as well, and this was a really amazing psychological thriller. Just wow. I loved that you get so much of the killer’s POV. 5 stars!
I also started The Gilded Wolves, which totally gives me Six of Crows vibes. I’m really enjoying this so far!
It looks like you had a good week. I keep seeing the gilded wolves everywhere 😀 Happy reading.

Looks like you had a great reading week, Naty! I have been curious about Daughter of the Burning City because I LOVED Ace of Shades, but heard mixed things about Amanda’s debut and haven’t picked it up yet. Glad you enjoyed the story overall!
How is the Gilded Wolves audiobook?! I loved the book itself and am interested in the audio because I can’t have too many formats of that book!
