Thank you so much to Katie @ Never Not Reading for both creating this tag – which is so perfect for October! – and for tagging me! This is such a fun tag and I’m excited to answer it! Check Katie’s blog out, she’s majorly responsible for my to-read list’s length and I am sure she’ll enlarge yours too! If you tag yourself in this, please link back to her post so she can check out people’s answers and get credit for the tag! 😀
Rules:
There are no rules.
The Sanderson Sisters
A great trilogy.
I’ll choose a childhood’s favorite here and name His Dark Materials, by Philip Pullman, which, along with Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl, is one of my most re-read series!
Winifred Sanderson
A book with a truly evil female villain.
A Court of Thorns and Roses, by Sarah J. Maas. I did enjoy how truly evil Amarantha was, and I did wish her part in the book had been much larger.
Sarah Sanderson
A book that uncannily attracts children.
Huh… I am not sure. What do children do? What do they like? What do they eat, where to they live? I wouldn’t know.
Mary Sanderson
A book that is just plain silly.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams! I did not like this book, really, the humor was too nonsensical and silly for me. But most people do enjoy it a lot possibly because of that kind of humor.
Max
A book that is trying really hard to be cool, but doesn’t always succeed.
Hahaha I love this one! I’ll say… The Body in the Woods, by Matthew Costello. The detectives just had some sort of serious/brooding and a “Watson” to be in awe at their intelligence and I just… couldn’t.
Dani
A book that isn’t afraid to tell it like it is.
The Hate U Give, by Angie Thomas, throws emotional punches all around and it feel so incredibly real. This book is amazing and opened my eyes to many things I had the privilege to not have to think about up to now… and I’m glad it did.
Binx
A book series that just won’t die.
A long time ago I read The Ranger’s Apprentice… and omg it wouldn’t END. I stopped somewhere at book 10 because LIMITS. I did now a quick search and eventually the series ended at 12. Phew. As for on-going series, I can’t come up with any…
Ice
A book with a character that’s dumb as a rock.
Mary Boleyn in The Other Boleyn Girl. I did like this book very much! It was so entertaining. But Mary was just so SLOW and silly. Literally everyone else knew how to play the games at the court, except her.
The Black Flame Candle
A book or series you wish you could resurrect.
I wish I could read Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke again and go through the process of waiting for the books, and talking to people about it! I feel like this series is so nice and not talked about enough!
Headless Billy Butcherson
A book that’s not so bad as people make it out to be.
Fates and Furies, by Lauren Groff, which, for some reason people thought would be Gone Girl, then read it, found out it isn’t and hated the book? I loved the lyrical writing and especially the part of the book told through Mathilde’s perspective. It’s definitely a favorite of mine ❤
Winifred Sanderson’s Spell Book
A book with a mind of its own.
I am still on the end of book 2 of the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, but it feels to me that this series evolves and changes so much! In a good way, I mean. It feels almost organic.
Garry Marshall
A book with a cameo.
Ha! Wild Magic features Alanna and when I read the Alanna series I was like “OMG!! I know you!!” I am a very mature, serious adult who does not form bonds to fictional characters. *ahem*
I tag:
Oh, thank you so much for tagging me! I enjoyed your answers especially since I haven’t read the majority of the books you mentioned; yet…
So many books, so little time!
I’ll make sure to prepare my post and have it ready for this Halloween! 😋 🎃

His Dark Materials is such a classic! I went on this quest to get a very specific version of the covers. I also went on a quest to get Inkheart in hardcover because I had Inkspell and InkDeath in hardcover (gifted to me) but not Inkheart. I finally found it at a library sale. I was so freaking happy. Those are definitely underrated books.
